Q: Is the 4D ultrasound covered by insurance?
No. This is an elective exam and insurance does not cover it. We do accept credit/debit card and cash. We do not accept personal checks.
Q: When is the best time to get the 3D/4D done?
The BEST time to have your 3D/4D ultrasound is mid pregnancy (18-25 weeks), the baby is growing and filling out. You are able to see good facial features. Later in pregnancy you will see full-faced baby, chubby hands and feet, but you will not be able to see the full body all together as the baby is much bigger than
Q: Can I bring my family and friends?
Yes! This is a family event. We know how important this is for you and your family. If there is more than 6 people, please let us know so we can accommodate all.
Does this take the place of an ultrasound at my doctors office?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Your doctor has the bigger picture of your healthcare and will provide prenatal care for you. At no time is this exam to be used in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound. However, if your doctor orders a full anatomy survey for diagnostic purposes, we will gladly perform those services with a doctor’s order.
Is the ultrasound safe for my baby and me?
Ultrasound is performed using sound waves and not ionizing radiation. For decades, ultrasound has been used for OB exams and is the norm for pregnancies throughout the United States. Studies have shown no bio-effects from the usage for ultrasound. 3D/4D scanning is exactly the same intensity as 2D ultrasound. Both utilize sound waves to look inside the body.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, all exams are by appointment only.
How long does the 3D/4D ultrasound take?
This depends on the package you choose. The exams take between 10-30 minutes, again depending on package choice. You can wait on your printed photos or come back later to pick up.
Will I have to pay if I am not satisfied with the results?
We will always try to maintain a happy customer. Please refer to our “Gender Check Guarantee” and our FAQ about unclear pictures. We will try to correct anything that IS within our control.
Why are the pictures not clear or what if the baby has hands, feet, cord, placenta, etc. in his/her face?
Clarity of an ultrasound image depends on several factors.
1. The amount of fluid surrounding the baby
2. How fat along the mother is and mother size
3. The position of the baby
Our goal is to achieve the best images possible to have great memories of your ultrasound exam at Baby Gender Plus.
